Paul Bean

September 8, 2020 -- Shen-Wei Yu

Paul Bean is a fourth year Chemistry student from Falls Church, Virginia. He is pursuing an ACS certified B.S. in Materials Chemistry with a minor in mathematics. In his free time, he is an amateur geologist, stargazer, guitarist, cook, dog enthusiast, Cookout quesadilla enjoyer, and hiker extraordinaire.

Sherry He

Sherry is a third year Chemistry student from Richmond, VA. She is majoring in Chemistry with a specialization in Biochemistry, with a minor in Entrepreneurship. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, listening to music, and spending time with friends. 

Xiangru Wei

August 31, 2020 -- Shen-Wei Yu

Xiangru grew up in Yuncheng, Shanxi, China. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in inorganic chemistry from Soochow University. Then she studied highly dispersed metal catalysts under the advisement of Prof. Zhangxiong Wu at Soochow University. She joined the Zhang's group in 2019 as a visiting student with a focus on design and synthesis of single atom catalysts.

Shinning Wang

Shining Wang is a third year undergraduate student from Guangzhou, China. She is majoring in Chemical Engineering and Statistics with a concentration in econometrics. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling and watching TV shows.

Shen-Wei Yu

Shen-Wei grew up in Yilan, Taiwan. In May 2009, he received a B.S. in Chemistry from The Citadel. In Aug 2012, he joined Prof. Chen-Bin Wang’s group at Chung Cheng Institute of Technology for steam reforming of ethanol, and he received his M.S. in Chemical Engineering in Jun 2014. In the Zhang lab he has begun work on CO2 hydrogenation. 

Aariella Houston

Aari is from San Bernardino, California and a rising junior at Bennett College and North Carolina A & T. She majors in chemistry and chemical engineering with a minor in mathematics. In her free time, she enjoys running her business, A Golden Art, and playing with her puppy, Ace.

Tejpal Randhawa

Tejpal is a first-year undergraduate student from Bethlehem, PA. She plans to study computer science and chemistry with an interest in solving environmental issues. During her free time, Tejpal enjoys hiking, watching TV, and trying new restaurants.
