Zhouyang Yin grew up in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in chemistry from Nanjing University. Then he came to U.S.  and received his Ph.D. degree in inorgainc chemistry at Brown University under the guidance of Prof. Shouheng Sun. He joined Zhang's group in 2020 as a postdoc associate with a focus on electro-catalysis and biomass conversion. Outside the lab, he enjoys traveling, cooking and board games.
